Radio-frequency identification (RFID) cards or key fobs identify a user to the charger with a simple tap. The session is then billed to the account linked to that card, without needing to open an app.
RFID is popular for fleets, workplaces and housing societies because it controls who can use a charger and makes it easy to attribute energy use to a specific driver, vehicle or flat.
